Taylor Swift fans were devastated when she canceled her three concerts in Vienna, Austria due to a foiled terrorist plot.
During her performance last night, some think she might have hinted at the cancellations when she talked about having “bad days” after singing “Champagne Problems.” She paused and told everyone that her parents probably recorded them cheering and singing along, adding that she’d replay those memories whenever she’s feeling down.
The Vienna shows were supposed to happen on August 8-10. Three suspects were arrested over the alleged threat, causing extra precautions at Swift’s London shows at Wembley Stadium. London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan assured everyone that authorities are working closely with concert organizers to keep events safe.
Fans sometimes worry as much as the stars themselves.
Swift hasn’t officially commented on the cancellations, but Barracuda Music shared details on Instagram. In an essay for Elle in 2019, Taylor shared her fears about fan safety during the Reputation tour, explaining how much effort and expense went into protecting her audience. 😟
