Suki Waterhouse Channels Princess Diana Style

Suki Waterhouse showcased her timeless style by channeling Princess Diana in a recent TikTok video.

Last week, the actress posted a fun clip where she wore a cream-colored vintage dress designed by Zandra Rhodes, reminiscent of Diana’s iconic wisteria-hued outfit from her 1986 Japan trip. In the video, Suki humorously replaced a famous line from The Devil Wears Prada with "The Zandra Rhodes dress that Diana wore to dinner in Kyoto? Yeah…I am," while wearing tan heels and twirling to show off the dress’s intricate lacy details and drop waist.

With the caption "It’s cream version but still princess," Suki’s post captured fans’ admiration for royal fashion. 👑

We think it’s always exciting when celebrities pay tribute to such iconic moments.

Zandra Rhodes confirmed on Instagram that Suki was indeed wearing their "Buttons and Bows" dress from 1986.

Originally crafted as black and pink, Diana’s dress became famous in its purply-pink hue, first worn at a Torvill and Dean party in 1985, then during her Japan visit in 1986, and again at an event with the London City Ballet in 1987. This iconic piece stood out for its zigzag details and sheer overlay.

Before Princess Diana’s passing in 1997, this dress was auctioned at Christie’s of New York but later found its way to the Historic Royal Palaces collection for nearly $32,000. It was showcased during Buckingham Palace’s Fashion Rules exhibit back in 2016.
