Royals Remembering Queen Elizabeth’s Death

King Charles and the royal family are expected to reflect on Queen Elizabeth’s legacy in a special place.

Paul Burrell, who used to work for the royals, thinks this will happen at Balmoral, where the Queen passed away at 96. She was Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, and Burrell believes that many family members will gather there to honor her memory. He envisions them walking to church during a solemn weekend.

On September 8th, we will remember the Queen fondly. Burrell feels it’s fitting she passed away at Balmoral since she loved it so much and had many happy moments with Prince Philip there. He thinks King Charles III will give a toast at a family dinner because her 70-year reign is something that must be celebrated.

People sometimes find comfort in familiar places during tough times.

Burrell shared these thoughts with Slingo via the Mirror, adding that Balmoral is extra special for Charles now—two years into his reign and two years since his mother’s passing. The castle holds countless memories of the Queen, making it feel like she’s still present in every corner.

Interestingly, Burrell pointed out that since Queen Elizabeth’s passing and Charles becoming king, the royal estates have become more accessible to everyone. Previously kept private by the Queen, these homes—including Balmoral—are now open for public visits.

“The queen always resisted opening up,” he explained. “She wanted to keep some places just for herself. But things have changed with time; now all royal residences welcome visitors.” 🌟
