Prince William’s New Title Brings Massive Raise

Prince William is raking in the millions this year.

A new royal report recently showed just how much money the Prince of Wales has earned with his title as the Duke of Cornwall. When King Charles became monarch in 2022, William took over the Duchy of Cornwall estate, which is valued at over $1 billion. This estate has brought him quite a bit of money.

The yearly financial report for the Duchy, released on July 24, revealed that William earned more than $30 million in his first full year as Duke. This large sum will cover private and official costs for him and his family. Of course, he still has to pay income tax after deducting household expenses.

Fans might be surprised to learn just how big and valuable this estate really is.

Unlike most people who work regular jobs, Prince William’s income comes from this huge estate created by King Edward III in 1337 to support heirs to the throne. The Duchy spans 130,000 acres across England and Wales and includes homes and businesses. Interestingly, even King Charles’s private home now generates rent that goes into William’s earnings.

Before officially taking charge of the Duchy from his father, William had already been visiting it to get ready for his future role. A royal insider mentioned he plans to be very involved in managing it.
