Prince Harry is heading to New York for Climate Week.
During his visit to NYC, he will attend events tied to both Climate Week and the UN General Assembly, as well as visit organizations he supports, like African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.
The HALO Trust was very special to Princess Diana because it removes land mines from war zones. In 1997, she walked through a cleared area in Angola to show off HALO’s work. Harry has supported them since 2010 and even walked the same path in 2019 during a trip to southern Africa. The street where Diana walked is now named after her.
Harry will also work with the Diana Awards while in NYC. These awards honor young people who do great things in their communities. Even after leaving his royal duties, Harry still supports this cause by sending video messages during ceremonies.
I think fans are excited about Prince Harry’s dedication continuing his mother’s legacy.
Interestingly, Prince William was also in New York City for Climate Week back in September 2023. He attended an event for the Earthshot Prize and met with Michael Bloomberg. There’s no word yet if William will be back for this year’s Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on September 24th 🌍
