Angelina Jolie arrived at the Venice Film Festival today, rocking her signature style.
This time, she chose a Dior trench coat with short sleeves perfect for summer. Known for loving long black coats, she switched things up with a khaki color and puffy sleeves. Alongside this striking coat, Jolie wore bold cat-eye sunglasses and knee-high boots from Mulberry with crisscross straps. Her coat almost covered her entire outfit, but you could spot a silky skirt peeking out from underneath. Skipping any necklaces, she styled her blonde hair in a deep side part.
The Venice trip wasn’t just about fashion; Jolie was there to promote “Maria,” directed by Pablo Larraín. She plays the famous opera singer Maria Callas and is joined by Kodi Smit-McPhee, Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, and Haluk Bilginer in the cast. After Venice, they’re headed to the Telluride Film Festival too.
Fans always wonder what these festivals are like behind the scenes.
Earlier films by Larraín like “Spencer” and “Jackie” led their stars to Oscar nominations—Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana and Natalie Portman as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. He expressed his excitement about bringing Maria Callas’s life to the screen with Jolie’s talent shining through.
According to a press release, “Maria” tells the emotional story of the famous singer’s final days in 1970s Paris—and it sounds intense! 🎭
