Angelina Jolie’s August Faux-Fur Shawl

Angelina Jolie is already skipping fall and diving straight into winter fashion.

At the Venice Film Festival, she attended a screening of her new movie, Maria, dressed like it was the middle of winter. She wore a Champagne-colored Tamara Ralph gown with draped fabric, a Watteau train, and an off-the-shoulder tan faux-fur shrug.

Jolie’s look was completed with stud earrings, a chunky chain bracelet, and a gold ring. Her hair was blonde with highlights, styled straight with a deep side part. She went for smudged liner and vibrant red lipstick to finish her glamorous look.

Playing Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín’s movie seems to mean a lot to Jolie. She shared that learning opera has been therapeutic for her in unexpected ways.

Fans can feel how passionate she is about this role!

“It was like I had so much inside me that I didn’t know I needed to express,” Jolie revealed. She explained how Maria’s approach helped her: starting by understanding the music without thinking about personal feelings, then disciplined practice until you’re ready to add your own emotion.

Angelina felt grateful for Pablo’s support during filming. So when it came time to bring emotions into her portrayal, she felt safe enough to let them flow freely.

Although we don’t have an exact release date yet, Netflix has already picked up the film ahead of its festival premiere. 🎬
