Reasons Prince Louis Skipped Family Sporting Events

The Wales family had an action-packed weekend filled with sports excitement.

Missing from the festivities was Prince Louis. The youngest royal stayed home because William and Kate have a rule: no Wimbledon until you’re 8. George and Charlotte followed this rule, and since Louis is only 6, he couldn’t come along.

Wimbledon has strict rules about noise and behavior. If you break them, you might even get kicked out! On Saturday, Charlotte and her mom Kate enjoyed a match together, sharing laughs and smiles. Charlotte was super proud when the crowd gave her mom a standing ovation.

On Sunday, George went to the UEFA European Championship soccer game with his dad, who has an important job there as the president of the Football Association. Even though George has gone to soccer games before, it’s only been recently that he attended ones where his parents had special roles. Spain beat England 2-1 in this match.

Fans sometimes wonder why certain decisions are made about which kids attend events.

Even though Louis and Charlotte weren’t at the game in person, they cheered from home wearing their jerseys. A cute photo of them was shared on Instagram by their parents’ account. The picture showed them sitting together in their personalized jerseys.
