Janel Parrish & Sasha Farber Split 3 Months After Going Public

Janel Parrish and Sasha Farber called it quits just a few months after going public with their romance.

So yeah, this one didn’t last long at all. The pair only made things Instagram official back in April, and now, according to a source who spoke to People on July 28, they’ve already split.

Let’s back up a bit. Farber, who fans know from Dancing With the Stars, and Parrish first hinted at something going on between them through a playful TikTok. In the clip, he spun her around while they danced together, and she joked that they’d just “run into” each other in a “parking lot.” Cute, but clearly staged for the internet to figure out. Not long after, Parrish shared a now-deleted Instagram carousel showing her wrapped around a shirtless Farber, planting a kiss on his cheek while he took a selfie. His caption read, “April has been amazing.”

Parrish opened up about their connection in interviews over the summer. She told Us Weekly in June that she and Farber had actually been “friends for years” before anything romantic happened, saying they met back in 2014 when she competed on DWTS. “I did the show and he was my buddy Sash for a very long time, and then we reconnected and here we are,” she explained.

She also gushed about him to People in May, describing Farber as “such a light” in her life. “He just brings so much love and light and positivity to people in the world,” Parrish said at the time. “He’s just the best.”

But timing-wise, things get a little messier here. Right around when Parrish and Farber’s romance became public, she and her husband of seven years, Chris Long, filed for divorce. TMZ reported on April 29 that Parrish and Long, who works as a chemical engineer, submitted a joint divorce petition. The filing reportedly covered spousal support, how they’d split property, legal fees, and their separation date. The two got married back in 2018 in Oahu, Hawaii, and per Us Weekly, they confirmed their breakup on April 10, though they’d actually separated months before that became public.

As for Farber, this isn’t his first widely-known relationship either. He was previously married to fellow dancer and choreographer Emma Slater. The two got married in 2018 and later divorced in 2024.
